Treat Your Smile To A Healthy Diet

Treat Your Smile To A Healthy DietThe diet you get can influence your dental health like the risk of developing cavities, erosion of the enamel, and development of gum disease. Healthy foods offer an environment that prevents infection and inflammation.

What Comprises a Healthy Diet for Teeth?

Fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes are good choices for oral health. Beverages, milk, and other calcium-fortified dairy products provide minerals, vitamins, and calcium that help keep the teeth bones as well as gums healthy. Additionally, consuming crispy vegetables and fruits such as celery and apples helps clean the gums and teeth.

A healthy diet has all the critical minerals and vitamins that the body needs. It also has the most important mineral when it comes to maintaining healthy teeth - that is fluoride. This mineral is so crucial for the little ones, but adults need it also. From the age of 6 months to 16 years, both baby teeth and permanent teeth erupt. Therefore, it is paramount to get adequate fluoride.

Make sure your kid brushes after every meal and before bedtime. Moreover, remember to ask them to floss or use a water irrigator to dislodge food particles lodged in spaces between the teeth. By eating well, brushing properly, and avoiding foods that tend to stick to the teeth, your kid can maintain a beautiful smile for many years. It also provides the physical vitality to accompany that beautifully-looking smile and energy to enjoy both. If your child is experiencing dental issues, drop them in our dental office. We want to see the child grow to enjoy their smile. We want to ensure that we catch any dental issues early enough before things get worse. Schedule your appointment today.
